Back to the Fortran Future 2 is the second in a developing series of Fortran-specific satellite events at RSECon. In the workshop, we will be looking at tangible ways in which the Fortran-based science community in the UK, and beyond, can raise the quality of Fortran scientific software and Fortran software engineering practices, e.g., through encouraging the adoption of development tools, such as linters, documenters, package managers, and libraries.

There is no charge to attend Back to Fortran Future 2 @ RSECon25. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Target Audience

Those interested in Fortran-based scientific development, principally RSEs, but also computational scientists, software engineers etc.
