The Training Community Day is independent from the main RSECon event, and folks are welcome to register for it even if they are not attending RSECon.
Note: This event will support hybrid participation, attendees can register to attend the event remotely as well.
This Training Community Day event will bring together our community of RSEs and digital research professionals (dRTPs) interested in teaching computational skills. The programme will include the launch of the Teaching and Training SIG as well as other presentations and discussions relevant to the community. A full programme for the day will be published soon, with potential themes including:
- RSEng training needs in the context of generative AI
- Digital Skills and Competencies
- Training on Research Software Quality
The event will finish with feedback and next steps from the sessions, and discussion group chairs will provide a brief report which will be published to support RSEs and dRTPs who train.
